Hello! My name is Jordan, and I’m a Girl Scout Ambassador in senior year of high school. I am also transgender and I identify as non-binary. When I came out back in 2018, every day was a struggle. I was constantly needing to explain my identity to people who just didn’t get it, which was exhausting. I was lucky enough to have supportive people in my life, but even they didn’t always understand the things that I needed from them.
Even today, it’s very difficult to be transgender. With the world seemingly against us, it can be hard to remember that we have people who support us, especially when those who want to don’t quite know how. That’s why I created The He/She/They Project. Think of it as a Trans Ally 101 course: a way for cisgender people to understand the trans perspective. Thanks for stopping by!
On this website, you will find a series of interviews that highlight the firsthand perspective of transgender individuals, their families, their friends, and others. You will also find a library of sources on a multitude of topics such as hormone therapy, gender affirming surgery, pronouns, and plenty of other relevant subjects. I hope this helps you towards becoming the best ally you can be!
“It’s not easy, but it’s worth it… Don’t let them talk you out of being your true self.”
